Arraiá du Abraãoforró with your feet in the sand
Live forró music · typical food · dancing on Vila do Abraão beach
There's a July night when the whole of Vila do Abraão dances. Forró takes over the sand, the little flags sway in the sea breeze and the smell of festival food mixes with the salty air. It's the Arraiá du Abraão — Ilha Grande's most charming June festival (São João). And it lands on one of the best weekends to be on the island.
🎟️ There's still time — and spots left!
The festival runs July 18–20 and you can still secure your spot. We handle the transfers, the stay and the tours — you just show up and dive into the forró.
What happens at the arraiá
Three nights of forró by the sea
- 🪗Live forró music, with bands spinning the arrasta-pé repertoire.
- 🌽Typical food stalls along the shore — sweets, warm drinks and everything to snack on.
- 💃Forró workshop on Saturday, by the sea, so nobody stays still (not even the shy ones).
- 🔥Dancing on the sand until the last song, with the Atlantic rainforest and a starry sky as the backdrop.
What it is 🤠
Ilha Grande's most charming June festival
The Arraiá du Abraão is the island's June festival, right by the sea, run by the City of Angra dos Reis. It's the São João tradition with an island accent: the northeastern countryside meeting the Costa Verde sea, no cars and no rush. The same village that by day takes you to Brazil's most beautiful beaches, by night invites you to dance.
